Yoga is a combination of exercises and meditation that is practiced to promote awareness of the connection between the body and mind. The series of poses and postures helps develop strength, balance, and flexibility, while helping reduce stress, and potentially preventing injury.
How is Yoga different at Body Mechanix?
Yoga at Body Mechanix is a semi private instruction with a maximum class size of 6 students. You will learn safe and comfortable yoga pose variations to accommodate the individual needs of your body. Yoga at Body Mechanix is alignment based, with careful attention to a safe and effective practice. No yoga experience is necessary.
Instructor Melissa Crawford teaches alignment based yoga since 2006. She is a graduate of the Yoga School of South County’s 500hr teacher training, as well as the College of Purna Yoga at Live Purna Yoga’s 200hr teacher training. She is registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. She has been teaching semi private yoga instruction at Body Mechanix since 2010.
